I had thought of buying a Ragdoll for my daughter until we had a phone call to go & meet the kitten my friend had brought back from holiday, she had a MC & considering it had come away from its home stayed a night in their holiday accomodation then had a long car trip & it still came straight over to you for a cuddle & purred all the while made it an easy choice what to get her,as for myself being a dog person not a cat no problem from my point of view as I would never be enticed to have a cat anyway,ok that went by the way as well........
Very good idea of Musicalife's though if you can get to a cat show it is one good way of really finding out more about the breeds you are interested in,happy hunting & let us know whichever you go for....x

I was hell bent on having a Ragdoll for the longest time. I didn't think my boyfriend would agree to it as they seem to be quite 'girly'. A friend of mine got a MC and it looked beautiful. Since I was after a long haired kitty, I decided to research the breed and instantly I knew that they'd be a perfect breed for us. My boyfriend fell hook line and sinker for them too! I can't imagine having any other sort of cat now. I know a lot of people say that about their chosen breed, though, so I'm sure either breed will make you happy once you make you decision!

I nearly got a Ragdoll last year. I read the breed profile and they sounded so very similar to MCs, plus they have those stunning looks and blue eyes. But in a way I prefer the MC simply because of their more natural look, so to the untrained eye they can just look like a big and rather handsome moggie. We ended up getting Herbie in the end as we went back to our boys' breeder. But, one day...
