Your "cats Choir" sounds adorable and would make an amazing video. This is the first time I have witnessed cat chattering and it sounds like many here have seen it.
These Maine Coons never cease to amaze me.

Clancy also makes this long trill as he runs through the house that almost sounds like a Indian call...

The video was taken at a local state park that features a small ranch with quite a few farm animals and a great spot to walk the cats.

Yes all my moggies did it and the coonies do it too when watching birds. varying degrees of noise and some just move their mouths and no sound.

Whiskey rarely does this while watching birds. But he does this all the time whenever we catch him being bad or when we tell him "no". It's like he's back-talking us and telling us why we're the bad ones and not him.

My two talk back to me too! I have a video of my Marzen talking back to me as I am trying to get him to get out of the dishwasher. Sassy little rascals! (tMarzen also chatters at birds, Winter not so much she just does it to be sassy)

Kitten prefers to look intensely at birds in silence, Tinks my moggie on the other hand is a loud and prolific chatterer as soon as she sees any bird movement outside. Bird watching through window is known as the Cats' TV in our house!
