Whiskey rarely does this while watching birds. But he does this all the time whenever we catch him being bad or when we tell him "no". It's like he's back-talking us and telling us why we're the bad ones and not him.

Kitten prefers to look intensely at birds in silence, Tinks my moggie on the other hand is a loud and prolific chatterer as soon as she sees any bird movement outside. Bird watching through window is known as the Cats' TV in our house!
