Kim, Thanks, that is so cool! I want one for Miss Ginger, although I am afraid Bentley would try and rescue her from the tent

Well done! What a huge amount of patience you must possess! Although, I think this success speaks volumes about your Coon's intelligence. They are so smart!

Unfortunately, I know I do not possess your superhuman patience and with only one toilet in my apartment I know I am too lazy to switch it out for human use whilst training. Doesn't stop me from being envious!

I am home all day so Miss Ginger's box is always clean. Besides having dogs that eat poop is also incentive to keep a clean litter box. I think she really only poos twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I think if you clean the litter at lunch and before you go to bed it will always stay clean. The liquid is a little more problematic. I use blue buffalo flushing litter and when she pees I clean it with tp and flush it. The solid ring hold enough litter for most doodies haha anyways. It really is not a big deal to change it, I have a gate on the bathroom door that is way more annoying than the litter kwitter. I did discover not to set the ring on the tub edge when I use the loo, because Ginger will jump on it every time. We all just pop it on the sink and use the loo no biggie. I think she gets joy out of watching me jump up and have litter in my shoes the little monster. I am using the last ring during the day and so far she loves pushing litter into the toilet, go figure. But if I get her trained the OH says I can have a boy kitten =^..^= mow

We are entering the fourth month of litter kwitter training, we were doing so well on the orange ring, I decided to introduce the green ring. Well Ginger was very interested in the big hole and the water, but not enough to poo in that great big hole. She decided it would be easier to do her business in the bath tub, after a couple of these we went back to the orange ring and put two inches of water in the tub to discourage any further transgressions. So far the water had worked and we are back to the orange ring. I am going to try and put the prange ring on after she does her morning poo and see if she is down with peeing in that great big hole. Patience is a virtue and I have a ton of patience! I really want to get rid of the walnut litter it is turning my toilet brown and that is not attractive!

I am happy to announce I have started using the final ring! I put it on during the day, after she has her morning poo, I thin k she is less scared of peeing in the loo. I feel she still is hooked on litter but hopefully the fear will lessen as she gets used to the big hole in the top! Hanging in there for the long haul!
