    purr purr purr

Ginger is getting to be such a BIG GIRL, I just realized she starts to purr when I walk into the room, when she is eating, being petted, playing with Bentley's tail, etc. There hardly is a time that she is not purring. So my question is, do they just purr when they are happy? In which case I must have the happiest MC in town!

I read somewhere that purring is also a way to placate, and also they purr when they're in pain - but I don't think that's the case here from the look of things - she's just a happy kitty.... you lucky thing!
mine bearly ever purrs, but my Charlotte (RIP) was like Ginger, she purred, and so loud! The next day we got her I remember HO going to the bathroom all groggy in the morning and shouting in a panicky voice "I think Charlotte has a breathing problem" - I ran to him and found her purring her heart out so loud when he was stroking her she was making a kind of little "rrreeeeee!" - he was a dog person, bless him, he'd never heard a cat purr so loud before, and she was only a couple of months old.... (obviously he never lived it down... ) - I miss that, Neevie doesn't purr much, oh well at least we know when she's happy....

Alekto, I had to look up the definition of the word "placate" hahaha I learn something new every day!
purr purr purr-photo-169-.jpg she also purrs when she is being a naughty girl and playing with mommy's yarn! I always wondered why there is a cat on every yarn wrapper. I know why, every cat I have ever had could not resist playing with my yarn

After I took this photo, Ginger decided to run across the room and behind the couch. I had to move all of the furniture to save her before she pulled her tail off! The little Monster =^..^=

Is anyone else have problems with MCF web site? I can not log in unless I go to the forum and try and comment then I am redirected to log in. If I go to the log in page my arrow never turns into a hand and if I try and post a new thread the command bar is on my name bar for the thread? Jackie any ideas? I can not post a new thread regarding the issue :(
