    TICA / GCCF Breeders

    Hello everyone,

please can some one explain the basics of TICA and GCCF (if some one doesn't mind) the pros and cons, and if is a good thing or a bad thing to purchase a cat that is only TICA registered.

    thank you

There are three registration bodies GCCF , TICA & FiFE it doesn't matter which one the cat is registered with just make sure it is,get black & white proof not just word of mouth, you can still show if that is what you want to do under any of the registrations so if you want to do this will go further on that point.... The main idea of kittens being registered is to make sure that the queen isn't overbred from as there are rules in place as to how often they can have litters within a certain period of time, unfortunately a lot of the time when "breeders" give excuses for no papers it very often is because they wouldn't be able to get them anyway as they have overbred from that cat,so no problem at all about it being registered with TICA, I have had GCCF ones in the past now mine come from a breeder who registers FifE but due to showing one of them is also now with TICA too....x

Thank you very much for the info. I am hoping to show him, but I suppose it depends if he likes it, and if he's good enough to show.
