    He's actually had a disc problem as well, which at one point paralysed his tail . Our vet treated him with a cat version of ibuprofen and some cosequin, not sure he was very hopeful as he actually suggested we might have to amputate the tail
    Anyway, the treatment worked and all but the last three inches of Spike's tail recovered - the tip of his tail droops but he seems happy enough.
    He has never really been a cuddlecat though and we thought it was maybe a "boy" thing - until we met Hobbes!!!
