Thanks you, she is very pretty and we will hopefully in the future when she is back in condition, do a trail mating with her to Jet Li... if the kittens are small and or not good in type etc etc, then she will be neutered but after 4 homes I think enough is enough..

I will today take a photograph of her besides a 5 month old Abyssinian and show the comparison as the British girl she is currently living with is a big girl and that would not be fair..

I have not felt strong believe me I have just had the support of many good people and friends and family behind me. Believe me when I say I many times was going to walk away, when I bought these girls I had recently lost my job, I had no extra money, my daughter paid for these two girl ( they are hers)... and I was at my wits end.

But it was almost as is with most of my life... someone was watching over me, Jobs came in thick and fast.. so I was employed again, I had help in the UK to avoid money transfer fees.. even my Child-minder who has looked after all of my 4 children while I worked... helped out!!

The reason I think that this has come so far and was so difficult is because of the lack of support from the agency's that we register our cats with, its because of the length and time involved with this kind of process to get someone to court is a difficult one.

Bear in mind she refused to let me have my cats the last date being the 9th of January 2010..
I had already applied to the court but the process takes so long to get a hearing. the first date was the 5th of July MY CATS independence day!! well one of them!

After recent discussion with cat registration bodies a lot of them are re looking at their policys to protect the breeders and new owners...

The stupid situation in the case with the GCCF is the rules they have in place

For instance in the case of the little boy Jenin.. Yes she had evidence and yes with the evidence of her and others the GCCF have the right to take away someones prefix, but to do this you have to pay £150.00 administration fee, and when a person has lost money, already and is paying money out for vets fees etc, they usually do not have that kind of money to throw away!!

Plus sadly given the amount of cat organisations, they cannot monitor say for instance if someone registers a mother cats kittens with tica and then in the same year registers that same mother wirh GCCF and or fife etc etc..

But sadly in all cases it the Pet owner that pays the price. and they are not protected.

I have reported and logged all of my complaint with the trading standard and consumers affairs, but THESE are cats and there are very few organisations that will protect them, in most cases cats are still classed as Vermin..

The RSPCA only take action in extreme circumstances, if an animal has food and water they usually leave well alone. I was for many years involved with the rescues for the International League of Horses I am still a member... and believe me the sites I have seen have been terrible but the rescue agency's again... run away, they see food water and they advise, but only usually in the most extreme cases does action kick in immediately.

The Welsh are staring a pilot scheme to monitor kitten and puppy farms, so breeders have to undergo the same checks that a registered boarding cattery does.. and this is one step forward I agree in.. fully...

My advice and this is stated on my website to all New Owners..

Is spend time at the breeders, NEVER pay a deposit until you have seen the kitten, ask to see the parents. Take photos of your kitten when you visit as some have pointed out our girl did not look like the original photo. Breeder do swap!!
    .
ALWAYS get a receipt with you deposit a. one of the ladies that contacted me, said she paid a deposit and she was told at 13 weeks the kittens was sick at 14 weeks and right up to 20 weeks...so within this receipt make sure that it states if the kitten is not supplied by the breeder that you get the deposit back THIS CAN be used in court....

This lady 2 years on she was offered no replacement by the breeder... and the breeder kept her deposit.. and her kitten..

The Rules in Europe... in General not including the UK????? is that all kittens are micro chipped, and registered and have to come with a copy of all tests... plus a signed separate health certificate.

If a breeder is letting you handle un vaccinated kittens ask your self why

    A few checks...

Check the babies eyes your self they should be clear the haws in the corners should not be raised.

Feel the weight of the kitten does it look well covered.

Look at the condition of the baby's coat is it shiny..

If the kitten is brought to you aged 9 weeks from another room ask can you see the kittens in that room, or at least see the room the babies have been raised.

Is the kitten playful, friendly interacting with its babies..

NEVER take a pedigree kitten before it is 13 weeks old fully vaccinated etc no matter how many deals discount the breeder offers... that little saving you make... mean hell and a lot of money later!!

NEVER take a kitten because you feel sorry for it... DO something about it. but do not take it home.

I will post something on here for all to read, whom are looking for a new baby!! I have it on my on my website which applies to all breeds

Thank goodness you have got her back, she does look small and rather stressed, but I can understand that. Did you ever find out what happened to the kittens?

She is but despite a little set back she is fully tested and well, I will now find a girl she can befriend, and then we move slowly!!

she is eating and drinking.. and using the tray one step at a time.

No I didn't I do know someone said they where alive and she was selling them... either way the truth is something that will never come out.. sadly.. But she has cost me a lot of money... and so I hope she is happy with what she made on the kittens... because it will cost her a lot more. I will loose no sleep at all in bringing in the Bailiffs... NONE... after what she has put these cats through

Lol, I was not certain you are right indeed... Glad you can see this too... I thought I was going mad until I received a few emails and now this post!!

She has lost a great deal of her coat and ruff!!

However she does have a kind of expression that you can see when you look at her!!

plus I checked the microchip number I have my own scanner... and this chip was implanted before Zech decided to take me for every penny she could get... basically she is half the size of the original through neglect... thats the top and bottom of it... What shocked me was when I weighed her knowing that she is 2 years old and my 13 week old British Shorthair kittens weigh more than her.... That made me feel physically sick!!

The other girl I got back again I had the same problem she was also un-recognisable to the cat photo I received from the seller... its was only because of markings on her face that I could tell it was the same cat. I nearly had the Bailiffs take her back when they brought her to me... I was in the lay by near her home... Shock and disbelief was then all I felt and still now.. I studied the photos I had and her in my arms... 2 bailiffs, a friend and I took some time deliberating believe me..

What makes me laugh, is that in one of her emails to me she stated that in HER opinion this girl was far too small to be bred off... Did not stop her though did it!!

I will take it slow GOOD quality food TLC.... and then when she is healthy and ready, she will be mated to Jet... you never know... I have had British girls in the past that have been small that have produced huge kittens and vice versa

    Post Updated Photos

The first photo is a photo taken 2 days after she arrived at her supposed to be temporary home .. you can see from the top of her even with her coat so full she is chunky!!

Photos taken today!! the hands are that of a 15 year old girl. A friend of my daughter .

And the Abyssinians used next to her is just 5 months old.

Now.. this is not about her size as in stature as in she is very small.. this is about how thin she is..

For those of you that wish to follow this story it took 8 months of bad care to reduce this cat to the 2 photos you see below.

I will take monthly photos for 8 months. of her to show her progression and change with the correct care and management!!

    Thank you so much!!

Very different indeed... but we will bring her back of that I am sure just basic regular feeding should do it... we have been advised to do it slowly... is all... her digestive system has to be treated gently! will keep it all updated.. I also have a diary of Corrigan on My face book page..

I had a lovely email off a lady who is not a breeder, just an owner!! who saw Corrigans diary.. I won't put here what she said but basically it made my heart sing.. and kept me focused that I am not going ga ga... lol..
