Great pics of Dexter - never noticed that little white tip to his nose before, how cute!
We put up our fibre-optic twig tree to see how the 'kids' got on with it and bearing in mind I didn't plug it in so it wasn't actually flashing, within seconds I had two MC's with their jaws clamped round a couple of branches, attempting to dangle off it. So, we scrapped the fibre-optic one and I bought a 6 foot pop up tree instead - it's worked perfectly! It's got no branches to speak of, just a spiral cone of dressed wire so when the cats put their paws on it the 'branches' all sway but the tree stays rigid. The swaying puts them off doing anything else with it. And it's pre-decorated so they can swot at the baubles all they like and none will fall off. Sounds like a minging Christmas tree but actually it's the nicest looking one we've ever had (partly because we're rubbish at dressing trees!) and may well survive Christmas. Which is more than can be said for the two straw reindeer sitting at the bottom of it!
