Congrats, Peter, how cool to get three at the same time! I would also love a third, and I think OH is up for it, but they grow so big I don't think our floor boards could cope with another one!
Can't wait to see the first photo's that your lads are home. Have you thought of names yet?

Our breeder had a couple more litters this year, and we have drooled over her solid white babes. If we went to visit it would be fatal. I suppose this is how it happens.

I have to say that the breeder, Heather, has been exemplary. When I asked about the availability of the third she gave her unbiased view of the pluses and minuses, didn't push me and once I committed last night offered me a small "bulk discount" without any asking.
Names ? I have until my next visit, Jan 8th - weather permitting - to decide on their registered names. I am getting closer with better ideas. It does help having an English professor close friend who is also a published author... but I will be the one to make the final decisions.
Thanks everyone for your support and best wishes! I am getting all soft and teary eyed at regular intervals just thinking about them... soppy git.
One thing I will ask for comments on, but there is probably a separate thread in the making, is for experiences with alarm systems and PIRs; I had an alarm system fitted a year ago with "pet friendly" PIRs which are rated up to 10kg *total* per room for pets and, as a long established local company, their senior sales lady who happens to live nearby says they have never had a problem with their own cats but they are not MCs. Anyone want to share ?

OK, I didn’t mean to say breeders are pushy... ours certainly aren’t. But they do take care to update us on their plans and new litters, sending pics, and inviting us over to admire the new arrivals. I don’t mind a bit… even regard it as a compliment, it shows they trust and appreciate us as owners.
And to be honest, some of their future plans do give me the tickles… there’s one mating in particular next spring that I am very very curious about… chances are I will have to restrain myself when that litter is born.Last edited by Antonia; 21st December 2010 at 12:06 PM.

The thing is, hubby and I are always saying how we are not going to have a fourth because right now we have such a close-knit, relaxed and happy little clan of furries. So why shake things up again?
But last September we went to a cat show where we saw a solid black MC. We looked at him/her in the cage, then looked at one another and said in unison: "We're not going to have a fourth one." After which I heard hubby muttering: "But if we would..." and he eyed the solid black once more.
There's a high probability there will be one or more solid blacks in the litter our breeder plans for next summer.
We must have strength.Last edited by Antonia; 22nd December 2010 at 01:32 PM.
