The 'pink slip' (if GCCF) will be given to you when you pick up your kitten; it will have his unique registered number on it as well as his 'proper' name, it will show his parents and their details too. your breeder will sign this slip and then its up to you to fill in your details, and send it off along with the transfer fee. You will usually get a contract of sale too from your breeder, wich you usually both sign, which will clearly show that you are now your kitten's legal owner, as well as a pedigree with at least four generations.

As for questions, I'm hopeless at that bit too and instanly forget just about everything I've been told!!! Just pay 100% to the cats, see Mum and if possible Dad. I think just about everyone on the MCCC site is a 'good' breeder, some of them are absolutley top of the tree breeders. There is only one on there that looks a bit doubtful to me (and it isn't me, ha ha!)

Enjoy your day out with the kitties
