How do you clean a kitten/cats nose?

I've noticed that Winston has some staining on his nose probably from nosing his food around the bowl.
How do you remove staining from the nose?

Hank has the same, and it's annoying the hell out of me. Everytime I look at his cute little face all I can see is this black line under his nose. Dave and I try to wipe it with a damp kitchen towel while he's asleep, we take off a few bits but not all, as we dont want to rub it too hard and end up hurting him.

I rang the breeder about this and she said its fine, they should just clean it themselves or we can do the above. I guess it doesn't hurt them, it's just annoying to look at! Lol.

The breeder was right. The kitten is experiencing it the same a toddler does when his nose is cleaned. They pull away. The kittens will do it themselves after a while. But Perhaps you should get used to it????!!!!!

Thank you Patty, I think we'll leave him alone with it now, as long as it's not harming him then its ok

Ha! Ha! Thanks all . I must admit it is a bit like having a kid with a "runny nose".

I think it's more noticeable as the fur around his nose is white and you can see his "dirty" nose in the photographs . It's just annoying to look at, but I'll learn to live with it
