Might get better. Or might not. We have had Bella since she was a kitten, but she has a very dominant personality and won't put up with much. She loves us dearly, but wants things her way regardless. I just think--based on experience with two cats we did not get as kittens--that it can take nearly a year until you know how they will eventually behave with you.

As said before, I don't think there's a hard and fast answer to this one! We've had Gracie for about 8 months now and she has finally got to the stage where she just gives in when it comes to grooming as she's learn the quicker it's over the quicker she can have her treats. She doesn't enjoy it but at least the squawking and crying like she's being beaten has stopped now! Monty on the other hand - now he's a one! He's not called the 'Wriggle Meister' for nothing. I have never in my life owned a cat who is so intent on wriggling and squirming to get away from the brush. He's been like it since we brought him home at 13 weeks old and is now 10 months old so not sure he will ever improve. But hey, we persevere on - if nothing else I know I'm getting a good aerobic workout when his brush comes out

Thanks everyone. She is at the groomers right now. They are going to just do the bath and brush/comb her.... we will continually work on getting her used to the comb/brush.
