we had the same with my moggie meeka given in the syringe she nearly took my arm off with her claws despite being held firmly the first time, you can hide it in their food if necessary thats what i done the 2nd-3rd day
apparently tablets are the easier form as with syring god know what it tastes like and by the reaction meeka gave it was if i was pouring acid down her throat lol...

try giving it to him in his raw food or something he really likes hth x
