I have a small dog soft crate, its 61 x 45.5 x 43,plenty of room for a 10kg MC,can even get two in,so far it has coped with up to 17kg in weight just needs two of us to carry..... The nearest to the one I have {mine is an older version} is the Hunter Transport Box from Zooplus, from what I can remember from another thread on this I think another member might have one so perhaps they will come on & adv.but I find it brilliant that as it is quite large it can be flat packed for storage....

I've got a small dog crate for Buddy. Its like the standard plastic cat carrier but about twice the size (think 2 side by side). He can lay down in it and has room for some Dreamies or Temptation and has a small water bowl attached to the door. I got mine from a stall on the Market in Town and it cost me £18. It comes apart in the middle (plastic clips on all sides) and is used as two beds; one upstairs, one down with the door behind the sofa when now needed for outings. Measure kitty when he's laying down and relaxed - ok asleep so the tape doesn't get killed; then make sure you get one bigger than these dimensions.
After having to use the carry basket for the Vets I am giving serious consideration to one of the ones on wheels for next year as I don't think I'm strong enough to carry two off these ones ;/ I've still got Fudge's basket for LouLou but at 9 months when she gets here not sure shes gonna fit in it.

"Cat Carriers" is a funny term for me. When I had to take Spartacus (MC) to be neutered I borrowed a cat carrier from my neighbor who has several cats...and when I got it home realized his big head wouldn't even fit in it. I needed a dog carrier....(which, thank God, she also had...)

I don't think we appreciate just how big are furries are until we are put into the position of comparing them with normal sized cats, when I took my last boys to work for castration I had reserved them the medium sized beds, well that didn't work had to move them down into the dog kennels so I could lay them flat out after their anaesthetic & once they had got a tray in with them that was it in that space as well....Can just picture you trying to shoe horn Spartacus into the cat carrier but doesn't it back up how dog like our furries are by them needing a "dog"size carrier !
