Winston started to chirp and talk for the first time yesterday whilst he watched 2 doves sitting on the balcony. It was very amusing and I've never seen anything like it.
It was very similar to this coonie.

How lovely! Yep I have to agree, since owning Hank we seem more happier, he cheers us up with his ways. Never fails to make us laugh in the evening when he's doing all his goofy stuff. He certainly tells us when he wants something or when he's not happy. I swear he even says hello when entering a room.

That's not an MC chirrup, I'm afraid.

My Birman does exactly that out of frustration if he can see a bird or toy he can't get.

That's more like it. Played that & the guys came running in to see who it was!!!

My girl was most certainly NOT a lap cat until she was spayed. Now she loves it more than my lapdog.

Hehe they did the same when I played that clip too

Loki - never been a talker, but has occassionally done a few chirps
Storvenn - definately chirping now. Only started in the last 3 or so weeks though.

Sarah has quite a few sounds - she "screams" loudly when things are not going her way - eg when Timmy is on my lap and she wants to be. She also chirps back to me in the mornings when I am getting ready to go to work and we have quite the conversation ( no idea what it is she is saying). She also makes trill sounds when she is happy and playful.

A lot of Maine Coon sites say that these cats are not lap cats but Sarah is constantly on my lap. Do your cats sit on your laps too?

Well Harry certainly does, but normally on your lap isn't close enough to you. he has to be up near your face for some strange reason ?
