Help dilemma 2's company but is 3 a crowd

Well when I put the other thread on here I didn't realize the rest of the family wanted both kittens but I'm still a bit dubious. So my question to all of you multiple Maine coon owners is - is it better to just introduce one cat into a single cat household or could 2 sisters be introduced relatively easily into a single cat household?

I am worried that the bond between the sisters would be to strong and the original cat (girl as well) would be left out. Is this nonsense, am I worrying over nothing and in time would they all settle and be happy together? Both the new girls are to be spayed prior to coming here and the resident cat is not yet. The resident cat is 8 months old and the new girls are 5 months old. I would be grateful for any info, thanks.

There will be some hissing and pawing and stuff but eventually they will all be fine.

I agree. As your resident cat is still quite a kitten herself, there's a good chance they'll all get along fine after a few hissy fits.

    When can we see pictures??

    go for it for sure.

Ive just got a couple of kittens as one of my MCs died. I think a single cat just gets bored and often will attatch themselves to you big time.

Its not been plain sailing but has generally worked out without any major problems and mine are all boys which I guess makes things worse

There has been a bit of hissing lately but thats cos the kittens are growing up so quickly .

I think it is only a matter of time before the larger kitten Silver becomes the boss because he is getting really large really quickly and and at six months is already standing up to floyd whos is 5 and 8kg

Go for it,the best leveller I have found is toys especially if they are in a carrier bag & make lots of noise its heads together & all muck in,obviously just don't leave them alone with the bag in case a head gets trapped in the handles but once they have managed to get the toys out you can remove the bag & leave them to get on with things... & yes I am also one of those who introduces them straight away...x
