    MC colour?

Just wondered if someone could tell me if there is such a thing as a tabby smoke?
I know Im probably being a muppet but my mc's coat is silver/blue underneath and just
Brown on the tips. He is a brown tabby I think although his head and tail are more blue.
Its just that I read up on the definition of the smoke and it says its mainly silvery but the tips
Are coloured. I could try to put some pictures up if it helps?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts : )

Some good photos would most probaly help {plus it gives us all something to drool over}I am sure one of the breeders on here would be able to help,I always think of smokes as being "solid"without a pattern or the pattern being more "diffused"than a normal classic but by the time I have tried to work out the colours of my friends babes I get lost especially when it comes to the "shaded"ones.... I know even at shows people have had kittens coloured assesed only to find out a couple of months down the line it is something else, these cats keep everyone on their toes, bless them, over to you & your camera....x

I can take some outside. I find the pics I take indoors dont reflect his actual
Colour! Thanks for your reply : )

Attachment 5825Attachment 5830Attachment 5831Attachment 5832Attachment 5833Attachment 5834Attachment 5826Attachment 5827Attachment 5828Attachment 5829 Well these seem to show his colour pretty well. Had to wait till he was snoozing ( which is most of the time at the mo lol!) would love to have a definitive answer as to what colour he is. The only bit of him I havent shown well is the back of his head and ears but its similar in colour to his tail. The only part of him that is true brown, is his body between the base of his neck and the base of his tail.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Now this is going to be very interesting hope some experts come on with a good answer, know it sounds daft but to me he looks as if he should be a silver tabby not a brown,he is showing all the leg markings of a tabby, just going back for another look....
Yep same with his face got the tabby markings, normally smokes have a plain darker face.
At the moment I would stick my neck out & say a black silver tabby that has got quite a bit of tarnishing in the coat,but....!
As a matter of interest what does his pedigree say.
    Super pictures also....x

Unfortunatley he's not a pedigree, although i'm 99% sure he's a full maine coon as I met his mum, dad, aunt and siblings.
But I guess that means without papers I cant be a 100%. There is a piccy of his dad in my gallery and I know that there was a
little blue tabby with white but the other 5 were brown tabbies in his litter.

He is! we love him to bits! I was a little niave about breeders when I got him and
realise it was a risk to not get any papers. However my next one ( which I hope to be in the next couple of years)
will definatley be from a reputable breeder and I will definatley be quizing you guys on
here about what to look for

but back to the original question....

Does anyone have any ideas on what colour Dexter might be?
