Whilst looking online for a MC kitten, I found this gorgeous 1 year old boy but I'm wondering whether he's a full Maine Coon or not? Opinions much appreciated! Thanks, Carla x

I believe this Gorgeous Boy is an MC!! His large paws..tuft of hairs from ear , the raccoon tail n above all my favourite MC feature..the hanging out position while sleeping..though there would be enough n more space for them to sleep, they like to curl somewhere n half of their body or their head would be hanging down!!!

I agree with you completely..He is a real Gorgeous n I would like you to take him home..n Good color also..Love him ..

There's almost certainly Maine Coon in him but I would say he's a cross. His body shape (from what I can tell from the photo) is a bit too short and stocky also his tail is a bit on the short side. When I first saw his face I thought I saw a bit of Persian, I could be totally wrong on that one though. Whatever he is he's definitely got the Coonie way of relaxing and he's gorgeous.

Thanks for your thoughts! I have just called the owner to enquire more about him and he's already wooed the hearts of someone else and they're going to see him on Monday and probably take him home. She said she has a certificate with his parentage on but doesn't have a pedigree slip nor proof of HCM testing etc but apparently he's from an ex-breeder who was going to use him as a stud but due to health issues had to re-home all her cats. Despite him being a gorgeous boy, I think the HCM testing is so important to me as I recently lost a cat to a brain tumour and I'm in no rush to go through that heartache again anytime soon!
