They all seem to differ, baby coat doesn't seem to alter much at all its as they mature more you start noticing it & then it can differ as to when it appears I now have one that is in full winter bloom,he has always got it wrong....!

Have noticed over last month that my 19 month old boy has less fur on his breeches and went through a phase of shedding a lot of undercoat which has now stopped. So I guess this must be a summer coat of sorts.

Jackie, are you sure only one of your furries has a winter coat. Welly and Merlyn looked ever so fluffy and long haired to me. Or perhaps it is just your brilliant grooming x

As others have said it varies. I've got one thats dripping in coat all year round, one that gets a huge coat in July/August, one that sheds when he feels like it and my 18month old still has a coat thats very "kitteny" ...

Merlyn is the one with dense winter undercoat he always gets it this time of the year,Welly has a lot of coat but it is very fine so although he looks all "puffed" up its silky without a lot of density like poor ole Merl...
