I have one who is very boney around that area but his build is very long & lean so doesn't look out of place, as an adult he only weighs in on average about 6.40kg has been as low as 6.10 so if your boy is one of the same type no way would he be underweight as he has another 2.5 years of growing to do yet anyway,a lot of them tend to go thin & can loose weight {although admittedly not quite so much as your boy} when they have a growing spurt then they seem to grow into their body again, your boy might have been unlucky enough to have had a growing spurt at the same time you were weaning him off of the richer high caloried food.Perhaps by gradually moving him back over onto adult food he will loose any baby fat without a lot of weight & his whole body will look in proportion again.I have to say they do tend to vary a lot in their growing stages & look different none of mine have been the same....x
