I also thought that he has tabby features (eg on his face) but according to the registration he is not tabby but bi-coloured, (Black and White) that is why I need to know if the breeder has correctly registered him. If I put him on shows he will be disqualified if not correctly registered.
The breeder has registered him at the CFSA (Cat Federation of South Africa) like this:
Breed MCO (Maine Coon)
Dominant Colours: 05 (Black/Brown/Seal/Ruddy)
Colour pattern: SoB (Solid Bi-colour)
I will appreciate your comments.

Definitely a classic tabby, patina is evident on sides and face, it may be the lighting, but I would guess brown classic tabby and white...

You want this page Guide to Cat Colors, Patterns by `majnouna on deviantART - the original one from the artists own page is not available at the moment. Don't forget to click to zoom - your browser will probably shrink to fir the page. It's HUGE.

Thank you for all your comments. I want to show him but must sort out his registration first. I will take this matter up with the breeder and the Cat Federation.
Thank you
