Common for MC to Love Eating Popcorn?
Our Whiskey loves popcorn. He'll hear you open a bag or container of the stuff and come in running in at top speed to steal a piece. He just loves the stuff & will keep trying to knock the pieces from your hands. I don't allow him to have any, but occasionally a piece will fall to the ground & he'll scoop it into his mouth before it hits the ground.
Does anyone else find their MC loving popcorn too?

heehee funny !
no but my previous cat (not a maine coon, but may be part maine coon) looooved ... melon! if I had melon I'd leave a crust with some little pieces and juice for her, she loved it.
so far, apart from an uncanny adoration for plastic bags which she will lick and lick and lick (we try not to leave any out, we're concerned about the stuff that might be sprayed on...) , Neevie hasn't exhibited any ususual tastes...

Ah bless! Milly seems to like cheese, I inadvertently left a plateful of cheese and biscuits in her reach while I popped out of the room, and when I got back she was eating some crumbs of Roquefort! Not sure if it's bad for her but she seems to really like cheese! That's so funny about Whiskey running as soon as he hears a bag of popcorn opening!

My current cats will have nothing to do with people food, other than an occasional bite of jerky.
That's fine with me.
My first MC, Bubba ( RIP ) would gobble pretty much anything other than mushrooms. If I gave him
something with mushrooms in it, there'd be a clean little pile of them remaining on the plate, lonely.
He could be just a bit too pushy about demanding his share, though. A cat doesn't get to be 28Lbs
by being a picky eater or by missing opportunities...

Wow Bubba was 28lbs. Talk about a big kitty. Whiskey is holding at 17lbs at 1.5 years. His new food obsession is carrots. He goes crazy for them. Will follow you anywhere trying to get them. Will rip them out of the bag if left on the counter. Why not see if Whiskey will eat them. I chopped them up into tiny little pieces and he would chew them up then spit them out. Yet he would want more. He chew them up then spit them out. He even meows for more. It is so weird that he does this.
