Thread: Creating a Scratchign post

So i woke up this morning walked into my hallway and had a Eureka moment. I was thinknig about extra scratching posts for Chiyo when she arrives then i realised i have the base for one in my hallway already! (This is an old picture from before we moved in th pillars are purple now :P) We have 3 of these metal pillars in the hallway left over from then the building used to be a hotel so if i wrap some rope around them i can trun then into scratching posts that she can never knock over and can easily stretch to her full height on! So i was considering picking up 10 meters of Natural Sisal Rope - ø 10 mm: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies but im wondering if anyone who has made scrathing posts before has any better reccomendations or if this is fine. Saves me a bit of money and will give her multiple places to scratch if she doesn't want to use the ones we will have in the living room.
