nah, MC's are just really large and spoilt cats their humanz are all crazy about! ;-P
I feed Neevie with pouches - at first I took whatever I could find with the most meat content, but she got tired of those now, thankfully because it did get expensive - and I complete with cooked (boiled) chicken or raw salmon from time to time. I didn't want to just give her only the cooked meat because I think there must be some things in the pouches (taurine?) that's needed for cats, but I haven't really researched it.
She loves the cooked meat and just jumps on it like she hasn't been fed for days!
I haven't found any wet food that comes in large enough pouches yet, but I work from home, so I tend to fill up the bowl when it's empty.
I think the MC dry food is really good because the bites are large enough, she likes that.
Up until 1 year old she grew like a sunflower! so she ate a LOT - when we first got her, she was such a ball of fluff, within a couple of months she was already like a teenager - so to get to that, she DEMANDED food, obviously. (one thing about MCs, they talk! they have a sound for each occasion! so you'll soon know when Dylan's hungry ;-) Neevie's "hungry!" sound is a kind of gurgling meow like if she was having trouble talking through her wet mouth! :-D ) In that period, she went through 6 to 8 pouches per day, PLUS whatever chicken or salmon and never even touched the dry food except in protest because I didn't feed her wet food quick enough.
She started really liking the dry food when I got her the food maze. That makes it interesting food, so it's ok to eat.
She is now 3, and she's not overly large - I haven't weighted her in a while but I think she must be about 6 or 7kg. She now eats much less than she used to, only a couple of pouches per day (and she's missyish, now, she doesn't finish it, but she demands a new one anyway)
Have a look also, there is a thread about feeding them raw meat.
hope that helps! ;-)
