Still do & the future babes that have joined our family have all grown to the potential that was expected of them, two of them are from long tall slender lines {one of which is a flat chested girl so would not grow to full size, she is a mini coon!!!}& the others from a lot bigger breeding line that do grow pretty heavy overall & they have.... I have never used kitten food other than for about a month after they arrive & they have grown up on tinned Felix {here is where cheaper for the pocket comes in...}or even stores own brand food but until about 18 months of age I do add vit powder, biscuits they only have a few but always one of the good brands in that....Like Alekto we too have the puzzle maize & that has allowed me to leave some biscuits out all day, where as a couple would pig at a bowl full, with this they work hard to get it so the time it takes them to get a few out is far longer than they would spend at a "feeding station" so think that they think they have had a lot more than they really have,I am not a big dry food believer so this maize has satisfied both mum & furries......
As long as your babe puts on weight is happy & playful whatever you put on his menu is the right thing for both of you......x
Thank you so much for this advise, i am now becoming much more at ease about feeding. I will have to look into getting the puzzle maize sounds like it gives them something to think about and work for their food, great idea. Will remember about the vit powder to. I have always fed my cats Iams and Teddy gets it to so might fit the wet pouches in Dylans diet to. Have warned my son-in-law that fresh fish will be required when he has any, chefs always have to much anyway !!! lol

I am now going to hunt down some pics of your babies, hope you have pics on the forum or I will be calling for some to be posted !! lol x
