Any problems with having a boy and a girl MC?

    Hi everyone,

Ok so I have FINALLY gotten to the point where I can say yes to taking on some MC babies :D

A litter has been born at Majesticoon and ideally I wanted 2 boys, but it has worked out that it will be a boy and a girl if I want to go for this litter. So I am wondering if there are any problems or anything I need to think about with having a boy and a girl instead of 2 boys?

I sooooo can not wait to get my little babies though

Brilliant!! You're a lucky, lucky lady AFK Matrix Have to say that I'm also rather jealous ... !
I'm more than happy to back Jckkerrison up ... we've had three lots of brother(s) & sister and never had any problems whatsoever. Toby & Lulu (RIP) were not MCs but were litter mates, Finn, Marco & Tess are litter mates - in fact they'll be 3 years old tomorrow! Archie & Lily are also litter mates & just over 13 months old ... it's wonderful having one of each - they've been no problem whatsoever. We did find that we had to have the girls speyed at about 6 months as the boys were getting a little bit too interested ... but they have all been absolutely fantastic. I actually think that it's rather lovely having the mix of boy and girl and would definitely have one of each as opposed to two of the same sex next time ... in other words go for it! Oh yes, please don't tell OH that I said 'next time'!!!
Will echo Jackie here ... photos, names and everything please! xx

Thanks for all the encouragment guys

I have just emailed Majesticoon to say I will go for one male and female cat. I was really wanting the silver colour but this litter is more the brown tabbie variety which I was a little disappointed about but after seeing some pictures of the brown tabbie MC's I think they are just as beautiful hehe.

I have asked if there are any pictures of the litter and if I get any I will share them with you!! As for names I am still undecided actually. I am a big star trek fan and stargate fan and have been thinking about names related to those programs. I also love the name Kahn for the boy and then Cleo for the girl but still not 100%. I am going to wait till I have picked my 2 kittens out and see what their personality is like before deciding though.

Brilliant ... how exciting! When will you be able to see the babes - have they just been born? Brown tabbies are stunning ... that colour's on my wish list ... !
Love the names too - but agree about waiting until you've met them before deciding - sometimes it's obvious what their name should be

Well the farther (King Henry) is a brown tabbie from what I can tell from his picture but the mother (Whos Perfect? (Perry)) is a MC blue (see images below) so I am not 100% on how the kittens will turn out lol!! I am hoping they will have a slightly different tabbie colour because of the blue mother but I have no clue if this will happen. I think it would look fantastic to have a bit of blue in the tabbies

Unfortunetly Alekto those kittens aren't my ones they are previous kittens they have had. But I would be so happy if they looked that gorgeous

Khan is a great name for a MC boy. When he finally gets you to the end of your tether with chewing on stuff, you can do your best Captain Kirk shout of "KHAAAAAANNNN!".
