That's a tricky one, you seem to have exhausted all my suggestions. Years ago we took on a semi feral cat who used to wee in one corner of our living room, as you can imagine it wasn't the best smell. I did the same as you, but eventually we had to replace the carpet. Sorry can't be of more help !
