First night after using the oko plus, schrodo doesnt seem to mind it at all, though for some reason he now leaps straight over the mat we have in front of the tray. One thing i have noticed though is that he's had messy poo's (sorry if your reading while eating your breakfast), this may be from the half a worming tablet he had on Saturday (strange though that its only affecting him now if thats the case), anyhoo, both times he went yesterday he had the dreaded klingons (not a prob with the classic). Oko doesnt trap the smell in as much as the classic stuff i was using so the door has been placed back on the box.

Hi Karen,we use a mixture of both,I like it with more pellet than
crumb because I find it easier to clean the trays but hubby likes more crumb in the combination,changed his mind though when I pointed out Welly's white boots took on a yellow colour & when we have to get him ready for a show we could be washing feet in the morning before we go so have noticed its gone back to higher pellet content again,choice really but at risk of also putting people off their breakfast I find you can scoop the poo out of the pellets easier but the crumb absorbs the pee & comes out in a nice clump.
What a discussion to be having over the dining room table,could there soon be a lot more people standing in a queue explaining why they are buying chicken feed or making up names of their chickens....!

Funny thing is, I've had more conversations about poo since herself arrived than I think I have in the last 15 years. It's not a bi-product I expected when I got her (the conversation, that is; I anticipated poo, obviously).
