Then do make sure to let him see a black smoke with golden eyes... if he's really the softie you say he is, he'll be wax in your hands (and in the kitty's paws).

I will! I am going to bring him to an MC cat show! I haven't been to one myself but I think this may be the way forward!!

Our kitty was officially registered as a black smoke and certainly was a little smoky up to a few months old. I'm afraid the smokiness disappeared and he is now a more solid black with white ruff and socks to match - a real cutie though

Claire, it worked for me - I took OH to a cat show (was a general breed show, admittedly) but he was so taken with the whole cat thing that he's now up for getting a second cat, and the only breed we agree on is another MC. Worked a treat! Originally Posted by Claire
