Indian laurel... Yes and indeed toxic. Look on they ASPCA website they have a list of toxic plants

Thanks for the info bubbies, I'm gutted that we have to take it back though thankfully I did check that plants were refundable

We used to have some very nice plants prior to schrodingers arrival but sadly we had to find good homes for them as they were toxic (lillies!) and not having the greenery around the place is really noticeable.
So, can anyone recommend "CAT SAFE" house plants/tree's. We have been thinking about getting a couple of small olive plants/tree's for the house and what with house plants names varying from location to location (and also depending on how old you are!) and the fact that im absolutely terrible at these Latin names can you post a list of what plants you have dotted around your house that are taking the brunt of your Maine Coon's natural inquisitiveness.

We have Areca palms for them to maul. Also, Bamboo and Papyrus are safe.
