    Indeed we have noticed this much more with kittens. Zephyr in particular used to have some issues with gas when young, but this is now very rare at just over one year of age. So age probably does play a role. Obviously you can also try to see if some particular food is causing it. One would suspect that dry food with high carbohydrate content could be an cause, though particular protein sources could be as well (e.g., have know cats that seemed to have issues with fish).
