Remember, I grew up in the dark ages, a medievil era. We all were expected to learn and be well rounded, so, music was a part of that and learning to read, hear and sing. I was good enough to be in the chorus (choir??) and in one or two small town school musicals. No great guns but I can carry a tune. Taught myself to play guitar and persued that for several years until I realized I wasn't going to be the next guitar hero. No Clapton, Bonnamassa or even Robert Johnson in this house.
Got away from the music for years...many years...I do still try to play on occassion, just for my pleasure. Too much said.

Hey the fact that not only can you play and make your own instruments but you sang in a choir to. We cant all be Claptons but we can all be fulfilled by playing instruments that we enjoy playing, dont put yourself down so much. I could never build my own guitar and can barely get a tune, but I enjoy it and you should be proud of your accomplishments !
