Yes he was born with a deformed back leg because as he grew there was no room for him inside his mum, We thought the leg would right its self I have had it in an Abyssinian before but it didn't it was perfectly formed but back to front, so he has to have it off next week along with his little peanuts!!
But he still runs everywhere as fast as the others and gets around just as quick!

Poor little lad, but I know animals can overcome all sorts of problems, my friends staffordshire bull terrier somehow damaged his spine she has never worked out how he did it. He was operated on and she was told he was unlikely to walk again. With a lot of care from Nantwich vets and love and hard work from her he now walks, runs like a rabbit with it's knickers too tight (honestly that the only was to describe his run!!) and jumps up on this back legs to greet you. As he has little feeling in his bad back leg he knawed the foot away a little so had to wear a boot and a buster collar to stop him doing it again but as his boot is black like him you can't tell from a distance.
I have every faith that Poisdon will have as good a recovery and soon be getting into all sorts of mayhem, big snuggly hugs to him xx

He does not even notice it, and it certainly does not hinder him at all, he had to wear also a little sock over the joint, as it became sore for him it was like walking on his knee, but we got some special cream off the vet to make the skin tough, He does not have to have it off, but we have chosen this because he is walking a little lob sided and I am worried for his back, but I made the choice not to have it off until he was neutered so he only has to have one anesthetic, but I am sure there will be many more photos of him getting up to mischief, when he is out in the run he is the first one up to the roof and he just jumps down from the top like he has wings he is a nutter!
