    WANTED: Outdoor cat toys

    The opposite of a product review - a solicitation for products;

    My boys are getting more time in the cat proofed garden and I want to give them more to play with than the decking furniture and the grass ;)

    Any suggestions ? Things that are weather proof even if not intended to be left out in all weathers etc.

    I would suggest www.cat-climbing-towers.com is worth a look. I've bought a couple of things from them for the outdoor run and the stuff is very well made and - most importantly - popular with the gang.

    Flies and bees seem to be providing an endless source of fun and exercise. How agile they are to catch them. I'm not a big fan of being presented with half chewed bluebottles all the same.

    Whiskey just loves the plastic shower-curtain rings. Don't know why, but he'll grab them and run off with them as though he stole some big secret stash. He also loves the small plastic wiffle-balls. Like Candes suggested, growing catnip/mint and other cat friendly herbs is also a great idea.

    Hunting waps is a favorite of Whiskey's. He is great at catching them mid flight. He captures them double pawed while leaping into the air. Unfortunately, they always seem to get in a good bite. Poor guy

    A £5 chids play tunnel picked up at a car boot sale has been well worth its money......

    Bought some flowers yesterday and the box they came in is an instant hit.
    They have each claimed it, slept in it, had territory battles over it, poked their paws through the holes in it, and dived under it.
    And that's even before I joined in!

    I came across this contraption today. I think it's awesome.

    Depending on you type of garden, if you have trees or tall plants you can get small plastic butterflies/dragonflies on thread to hang on the branches. My guys love them .Anything to climb up & sit high. nepeta(catmint) is good to plant, preferably in a big pot.(Darcie-lu sits in the pot & eats it), failing that you could install a low level water feature-keeps mine entertained for hours
