When I get more time tonight I will find you the link for getting them online very cheap. I buy quite large quantities because of the snakes.

Has anyone tried feeding crickets? Read on another forum that cats love them but they give me the creeps a bit

You've got snakes and crickets give you the creeps??????

My raw attempts have been rebuffed, I have put some chicken and steak into their bowls (diff days)...ignored, had a couple of accidents when cutting meat.....ignored.........but my real accident with grated cheese.....scoffed!

Pigeon was on the menu yesterday!
The unlucky bird managed to get into our small garden, and under the canopy, to Monty's sheer delight.
By the time we noticed it was far too late. I hoped he was getting his own dinner, but in the end he didn't want to eat it.

I asked myself why I took so many pictures of such a distasteful scene, but I just found myself enjoying the cats' enjoyment. Apologies to the squeamish!

eww it's like watching a car crash, you can't help yourself and not look!!!

Pigeons are the worst for feathers, as soon as they die they all seem to drop out!

I feel sorry for the pigeon, but it shouldn't have been doing a kamikaze act. Love the 5th pic where Monty sticks out his tongue, lol.

Yes I feel sorry for it too, but at least it would have been quick - Monty is a very efficient hunter. In fact he's the most 'wild' cat I've ever known. The breeder thought he'd do well at shows but he'd have hated it, he's far happier charging around the garden all day getting scruffy.

Aww he looks so proud of himself with his kill. He wouldn't have eaten it as to him it probably a present for you. Buddy likes to chase birds but hasn't actually caught one yet; then again we don't have pigeons round here only seagulls and if he caught them he would be doing us all a favour the noise they make :/ I did catch him really close to a squirrel last week but he was trying to play with it not kill it. I think ginger cats are the equivalent of blonde women - I think he saw the tail and assumed it was a coonie.
