I would give it a go Peter.
I have had two sets of boys that came to me together and only one from each pair has been shown. They cope remarkably well and I have learned with MC's that they either like showing or they don't..I would think you will know pretty quickly if they will cope and yes, lots of attention and playing with ticklers(in the pen) helps to amuse a kitten/cat out on show. You may find they spend a good while sleeping though.
The two left at home will not bother..they may pick up different smells when the show baby comes home though.
Give it a go..you may just find you become hooked.
I also take the photos for the scottish shows which are put on Cat Planet online and now in hard copy magazine format. You can send your pictures to Cat Planet to be published,...it is great to see your babies either online or in the now magazine. My babies are in this months magazine from the west of Scotland show in December. I just do pictures from my section semi long hair and send them in
We also have a face book 'maine coon breed society' page which gets results and pictures posted from countrywide shows too. Everyone loves seeing cats from around the country
Hope that helps a bit
