It will be indeed sad, and thanks for your kind words, it works I feel very differently with the girls, I have one British line, that is dominant over every cat. Grandmother was boss then gave that responsibility to her daughter and now she to her daughter and I am sure it will move down again., the girls just seem to know and there is no question of a challenge, the abyssinians do push their luck but thats just Abys for you... the Coonies Aphrodite is the boss, again they seem to know this and there is no discussion.. lol
I am more than Sure Caroline will keep in touch with us and let us know how it all pans out and she is aware that I will take him back if it doesn't. So we shall just have to wait and see.
Lestat has also found a new home he goes at the weekend, this was a different kind of bullying Lestat can also be aggressive and so it was like gladiators with him and Frodo.. Hopefully in 2 weeks time peace and serenity will be restored here again. If it had been summer I may have tried to pen them both together MJ and Frodo and watched and waited but it isn't and we have taken down most of our outdoor pens for the new work that will be taking place this year fingers crossed, so I need the 2 spare pens I have for my boys to use for their dating time.
We shall see, I hope I do not kick my self later lol xx

Badsworth Tabloid Junkie
You will never know "what might have happened"so will not have to kick yourself Debbie, the fact that you will have MJ back if there is a problem takes all pressure off of the new owner,no what ifs to worry about so it is sure to work, it will all be for some reason unknown to you at this moment in time, hope I am still on here to find out why...

Dear Debbie, it is a difficult decision but it has to be made in the end. You can only give them so much time to see if they can 'sort it out' between themselves, but sometimes they never really settle down and the hostility continues. This must be very stressful for you and all the other crew members. You have done the very best you could and this sounds like an ideal solution for everyone. Plus you will be able to keep in touch with the new owner, which is great. I have been through this myself with a rescue cat and 4 months down the line everyone is very happy - our remaining 3 lads get along just great, and Humphrey is fat and happy as the only cat in his new home, with a doting lady owner. I went to visit at New Year and Humph gave me lots and lots of sniffs and licks. He looked amazing and had a bed by the window and a big pile of toys. It brought a tear to my eye.
So do be assured...I am certain you are doing the right thing. Bon courage!
Love Louisa xxx

Debbie, so sorry to hear it's not worked but it's not been for the want of trying on your part. I agree with the girls - a horrible decision to make, but you're right, being sentimental would just make the cats (and their servants) more unhappy. And even for MJ and Baggins, it must be hugely stressful with each of them trying to assert and re-assert themselves constantly. At least you can keep in touch with MJ and it will give you the same feel-good factor HB gets when she sees Humph now x
