Randomness
What very odd random things do your cats get excited about?
Mine goes very odd when I used to use an electric toothbrush, tries to brush herself with it- needless to say it is not used anymore!
Also one of those head massagers that looks like a triffid, same reaction
Finally, deep heat rub, I have a bad back at the mo, so deep heat rub is essential to life at the moment, despite washing hands thoroughly, she tries to lick my hands and brushes against it after using it, same reaction as catnip

Harry's is pens or pencils, if you are writing he will jump onto the table and either try to bite the end or whack it with his paws, you can imagine what my handwriting looks like !

Yes they love ear buds .. I tell my girlfriend off because every day I find one all bitten up in the bed :D

Deep Heat, Olbas Oil, or a whiff of bleach, all 3 send my lads crazy like it's catnip.
Pencils, especially while you're using them, and the dishcloths from the kitchen sink. Especially if you're wiping something, you'll get swatted by a mighty paw...owww!

Which of these are your cats taking out of the trash and chewing up??
