Civilized hours here, around 9 am. However they are usually still running around at 1:00 am in the morning, but then so am I, so that's ok!

It's a very civilised 7.30am MC alarm in our house, which is when I get up for work. So that's fine, except at the weekend when I want a lie-in, thanks. So I get up and nip them downstairs, and go back to bed for a snooze.
As for shutting them out of the bedroom, I couldn't. One of the best parts of the day is bedtime: they follow me upstairs, hang around in the bathroom, get in the bath and lick the cold tap, chase a few toys across the landing, and when I get into bed they're all up for a few rounds of the bedbugs game, and after that we all snuggle down.... Now they're a bit older they sleep through the night and don't often wake me up - not until 7.30am anyway!

I do try and shut Harry out, but he always manages to sneak in at some point. He has a routine that he never breaks. I usally go to bed first, put the tv on and he is follows me up and sits on the bed with me until he gets moved by hubby when he comes up. Then when I get up (it's always the woman isn't it) in the middle of the night, he sneeks back in, jumps up on my side of the bed, because he knows I won't move him and then gradually makes his way between us. Then when the alarm goes off he trotts off downstairs and waits in the kitchen for his food.

My kitties morning routine includes: 1) ripping into shreds and chewing on my favorite bedside magazines at 5-6 am.
2) tearing expensive silk comforter with their teeth;
3) opening and closing cabinets with their paws...
But the best Simon's cat trick my Anastasia did was sneezing on me and sprinkling her snot all over my face.
