Back in those days Persians weren't flat faced at all. Even in the mid 70s they still had muzzles and ears, as I can very well remember.

I voted No, but its hard to tell. The colourings look about right, though the ears are not big enough, but some of the kits seem to have small lynx tips. The photo needs to be compared to others from the same era of clearly identified MCs, a great deal can change in a breed over 70 years and even though today's MCs are more natural than many other pedigree breeds, I'm sure there has been some modification.

No idea, but they look incredibly sweet. Are they definitely a pedigree - might they be a cross or moggie ..?

I voted no as a guess. We had a Persian back in the 70's, I can remember and I have an old photo of Pickles with my mum. He was a red Persian and when he was a kitten looked just like these ones.

Although it did not appear on the cover of McCall until 1941 this picture was taken on 20th December 2008 by George Eastman House; and the model Joan Caulfield was allergic to cats
