She's still not been down for food and hasn't even been down to investigate in hours. A lot of googling comes up with if the resident cat hides away, they will come down when they are hungry enough.
I guess we will give it to the end of tomorrow if there is no progress and Ripley still isn't coming downstairs we will have to ask the guy to collect her, I understand these things can take days and weeks for any kind of interaction but if after 2 days Ripley isn't eating or going to the toilet because of this kitten then surely that's not right?
But I want to be proved wrong, I would love for this kitten to stay and I want to give it all a shot. I don't want to be someone who gives up easily, but I also don't know when 'enough is enough' for Ripley being put out. Any further advice/reassurance from anyone to know if we are doing the right things?
Thinking maybe about putting kitten in her caged crate thing and bringing Ripley down again so she can see and sniff again while she is in the cage but not sure if that is going too far backward? Have also given Ripley my hoodie which has had kitten smell all over it since yesterday, see if that helps at all
No the kitten isn't maine coon, just a standard domestic kitty.Last edited by RaySen; 27th November 2013 at 04:29 PM.
