Ria: Great idea for a post. I actually was planning to order that cat cheese toy. The breeder who I am getting Winston from has one, and I observed her kittens having a real fun time with it.
I bought a similar toy yesterday in the pet shop called Kitty-Roundabout. It's a similar ball batting chase toy from this German company. It was only €2.99 so a hell of a lot cheaper then the cheese chase but I may still order the other one from zooplus.

Well, Ive been watching Maine Coon Kittens on YouTube (as you do lol) and I noticed that they seem to love these round about things. My 2 year old certainly loves it, but hopefully he would have had enough of it by the time kitty comes.
Just looking @ that site now, but they dont seem to have prices on their items.

Those are really great toys for cats! A friend of mine who has a russian blue and a nebelung has the activity board, and the only thing I'm worried about, is that the paws of maine coons get so big that I doubt whether they'll still be able to get the candy/food from the board. The things where they have to try and reach it with their tongue won't be a problem though, I guess.

Have you discovered the Da Bird?
When we went to meet Lucius for the first time, our breeder gave my partner Tom a Da Bird to play with, and in seconds 7 sleepy kitties ears pricked up and started crawling all over him to get to it! The following pic (although rubbish from a phone!) shows how he captured their attention! (Lucius is third from the left - he looks so tiny compared to now!)

You can get them from Purrs In Our Hearts, and they mimic the sound of a bird's wings flapping. We got a set for Lucius, and he goes absolutely nuts.... and subsequently has destroyed it!

I came across this a few weeks back on the internet. It's something similiar to "Da Bird" but you change the attachments on the end of the rod! They are called NekoFlies and some of them resemble drangonflies etc.

I bought a rod toy with a catnip ball and feathers off it. It does look similar to a bird's feathers and I'm sure the cat will have a fun using it
