    Sorry to jump in but although not an MC I had similar problems with my beloved Fudge. He kept piddling and pooping by the loo. I took the hint and used it to advantage and got him on Litter Kwitter pdq. You could alsy try putting pepper down where kitty likes to pee. Won't stain or harm carpets but as cats like to sniff before going its gonna make kitty think whilst sneezing. Personallyi would use a reward system as well for going in litterbox, either foody treat or fun playtime and revoke for going on carpet etc. Cats are creatures of habit and will quickly learn piddling in litterbox = treat, piddling on shoerack = getting shut out xxxx
