Thread: buying my kitten advice please

sorry i forgot to add mum is TICA reg and dad is GCCF

Tbh, if that happened to me then Id be asking a few questions both of myself and the breeder:-
a) I dont understand why you wont be getting a GCCF certificate. Perhaps something Im ignorant about, but surely if mum & dad are registered pedigree cats then whats the issue?
b) If the paperwork isnt important, then imo wether you got it or not.. why would it effect the price? However.. what is important is wether YOU feel you are getting value for money. Is that particular kitten a "must have" or are there others you are interested in?

I appreciate this post isnt an 'answer' as its hard to give you a answer when the are a few important questions which have to be answered by yourself.

If it was me...
If the breeder seemed 100% good and the kitten was a "must have" then I would most definately research as to why paperwork couldnt be provided. Maybe a phone call to the Maine Coon Cat Club or a post on these forums like you have done may get an answer from one of the knowledgable breeders here.
