Thread: Outdoor cat enclosures

Hi

My cat enclosure comes straight off the laundry door with a small dog hole in the door.

It is 14 metres by 3 metres. I put wood lattice on each end with a lattice door both ends with I lock from the inside bit can still open if I need to ( which is rarely.

I have sleepers and a fernery down one side and have just put pebbles down between that and the house and got some wood features made for the cats. I have shadecloth on top and have put the laserlight over 1 1/2 metres so the fernery still gets water but the cement doesnt.

I have put wire from the fence to the top of the pergola. When Timmy was a kitten 7 years ago he dug out with the help of the dog on the other side and it was a week before I realised he was ducking out and back in. I put more dirt there and then piled old plant pots against the end to stop it and no-one has tried it since. Zack wouldnt be able to dig the pebbles now and the fernery dirt is too high.
