Firstly so so sorry, there is a Rainbow Bridge section on the forum as so many of us had to face loosing one of our babes that a special section was requested....
Secondly welcome to you & your new furrbees for when they arrive. As to which gender to go for I would say follow your heart.I find with MC's the boys tend to be more the village idiot & girls busy, busy, busy. My first girl China RIP who was adult when we had her was always into things & on the go up until a few hours before we lost her,I then had singletons that included two boys & a flat chested girl{who also put the boys to shame in the busy stakes}then went on to have two brothers, brilliant experience having two together, wasn't intended we went to see our choosen one & the other one said I am coming too,one has been a purr bug & lap cat from day one the second one very loving but didn't want to cuddle only on his terms & didn't & still hardly ever purrs,he up until very recently did behave quite like a girl in the fact that he was on the go more but now at just over four he also has gone into the more laid back male mode,I did miss having a girl in the mixture as little Pansy P went into a shell after loosing China so have now got another female in the home & it sure has sparked everyone off again, the boys have finished their time as being on watch nannies for her as they obviously feel she can look after herself but their sleep pattern sure is different its a case of oh no here she comes again tornado sweeping through....
So after essay back to your questions,I don't think you can ever say what combination will work 100%,wether they will get along 100%,although it is more likely if they are siblings, certainly didn't work with our two that we got ignored as the one did luv to be with you but it was great watching them play together & eyes in the back of your head do help, don't think that any pairing is more likely to induce fights, hopefully there won't be any although once you get more than one animal a top cat is more likely to come into play but still needn't be of any problem,I still think you are better to go with an open mind & see which ones want to come home with you & as soon as your mind is made up let us know & ask breeder for some pictures that you can post to make us all go broody....x
