I think I would go with solid or netting roof,the front of our pen is netting & we brought some wire inwards along the top garden side but that didn't stop Welly scaling it & arching at a super angle & getting over, I think if they can't get out it also works the other way nothing can get in,good luck pictures of finished pen please & furry enjoying herself outside....xxx

We have used Felisafe fencing at the top of our 6 foot fence and it is completely cat-proof in both directions. Sid can roam freely and safely all day and Thomas next door can sit on the fence post in the corner and watch in utter frustration!
SIdney was quite apprehensive about being outside for the first few days, now he is a proper outdoor cat with lots of tree-climbing and hunting....and no cars or cat-nappers or dogs to bother him. Best money we ever spent!
The neighbours think we have some kind of mutated squirrel!
