    Thanks for all the info. There are always bound to be differences between individual animals, and you will always get exceptions to 'normal' behaviour. I know the wide range of personalities I've seen in my pet rats over the years, although they've all to an extent shared common characteristics of doe rats.

    My girls are very cuddley but vary massively in personality with one being stupid and bouncy and the other laid back and more of a lap cat. My Tom moggie is the most timid of all 3 so sorry, think each cat is different!

    Thanks Claire. I guess I'll just have to wait and see depending on which cat(s)/kitten(s) I end up with!
