It could just be that he was a little clumsier than my Burmese who is less than half his size & much daintier. Argentium does have huge feet that he still regularly falls over.
Lithium being so small could wee in the 2nd green ring - forgot to ask, do you have the extender rings ? there are an extra orange & an extra green which make the steps more gradual. Argentium is so long, he usually made it through the hole, just because that was where he was naturally positioned. They still occassionally give themselves almost whiplash when they hear the noise
Good luck & remember a cat will only try to help you so far, then you're on your own

Hi thank you for the comments! Ginger's fur is pretty thick on her feet between her toes, but she is very agile. I have all the rings that came with the kit, we are on the first solid ring, getting used to jumping up on the toilet. I am going to leave that on for a couple weeks. I think the hard part is taking the time to let the kitty get used to each step. I really want to hurry her along, but everyone stresses patience! This step is pretty messy, and I am switching to a biodegradable litter made from crushed walnuts. I do not think she has noticed the litter change. So far, so good!
